My Weird School is a series of chapter books written by Dan Gutman and illustrated by Jim Paillot, based on the main character, A.J. and his friends who attend a weird school. The main character, A.J, a boy who hates school. He attends it with his friends, Ryan and Michael, and some other kids.
His rival is a girl named Andrea, who loves school and never breaks rules. He describes her as; “a girl with curly brown hair and a good two shoes attitude.” Andrea calls A.J Arlo because she knows he doesn’t like it.” He isn’t very nice to Andrea, and neither is she to him. They come up with lots of conflicts during the series, which shows they both have a soft side for each other.

Arlo Jervis or also known as AJ is the main protagonist of the series My Weird School..
He hates school, coffee, dead fish, and pretty much everything else. He likes Pee Wee football, Fizz Ed, junk food, ice cream, dirt bikes, etc.
He has an older sister named Amy. His best friends are Ryan Dole and Michael Robinson. His close friends are Neil Crouch and Alexia Juarez. He says he hates Andrea, which in some books is proven to be false. He is the narrator of all the books in the series, except for Back to School, Weird Kids Rule, which is narrated by Andrea Young.
Ryan Dole or also known as just simply Ryan (born March 3, 1995) is a supporting protagonist of the series. He is AJ’s best friend and is African American.
He hates school. He likes Pee Wee football, dirt bikes, Fizz Ed, and eating. He has ate numerous non-food objects (dirt, seat cushions, bugs, etc.) throughout the series. He is eight years old and in the second grade in the first series and is nine years old and in the third grade throughout the second, third, and fourth series.
His best friends are AJ and Michael Robinson. His close friends are Neil Crouch and Alexia Juarez. His enemies/frenemies are Emily Pucket and Andrea Young.
Michael Robinson or also known as basically Michael (born April 4, 1995) is a supporting protagonist of the series. He is one of AJ’s best friends.
He hates school. He likes Pee Wee football, dirt bikes, Fizz Ed, and everything else AJ likes. He never ties his shoes. He is eight years old and in the second grade in the first series and is nine years old and in the third grade throughout the second, third, and fourth series.
4. Principal Klutz
He is married to Ms. Klutz, in his 30s-50s and always seen wearing a suit and tie. HE does all sorts of these awards. He is seen in extraordinary outfits like Santa Claus (in Miss Holly Is Too Jolly). He has a completely bald head and never grows hair.
He is weird, as offering weird incentives such as Pogo sticking down main street in a turkey costume, and painting is bald head orange. He is nice, and in Mr. Klutz is Nuts, AJ went to his office, he offered him a candy bar if he did something good. He kissed a pig and married a turkey. He also love skateboarding and his enemy is Dr. Carbles.
5. Mrs. Daisy
Miss Daisy is a second grade teacher at Ella Mentry School. She’s nice to all of her students. Her first appearance was Miss Daisy is Crazy! and the kids have to teach her schoolwork. AJ even thought that their real teacher might have been tied up on a railroad tracks. Her last appearance is in Miss Daisy is Still Crazy! and it turns out that she married Mr. Macky.
They have a baby named Jackie Mackey. Trivia It is unknown how she became a teacher even though she doesn’t know any of the stuff that she is supposed to teach her students. Miss Daisy can be a bit stern at times. She loves bonbons.
6. Mrs. Cooney
Mrs. Cooney, the school nurse, is so beautiful that even A.J. has a crush on her–even though he suspects she might be an international spy trying to take over the world! A.J. keeps going to her office all the time even though he isn’t sick! Andrea knows that A.J. Is just going to Mrs. Cooney’s office because he has a huge crush on her. At lunch, everybody talks about how Mrs. Cooney is guilty but soon Andrea starts choking on a chunk of apple so A.J. punches her in the stomach to make the apple pop out.
He hates school. He likes Pee Wee football, dirt bikes, Fizz Ed, and almost everything else AJ likes. He is called the nude kid even though he wears clothes, which he was mistaken from the “new kid”. He is friends with AJ but not the kind like Michael and Ryan who make fun of AJ.
He made his first appearance in Mrs. Kormel is Not Normal!, when the school bus gets a flat tire on a detour to pick up the “nude kid” which turned out to be the “new kid”. They finally met Neil after finally finding school.
8. Ms. Hannah
Ms. Hannah shows A.J. and the gang that art is everywhere! She wears dresses made out of potholders and collects garbage instead of throwing it out. And even makes A.J. draw a picture with smelly, tattletale Andrea!
9. Mrs. Roopy
A.J. and his classmates are convinced that the new school librarian, Mrs. Roopy, has multiple personality disorder because she keeps pretending to be famous people. Everyone needs to find proof about her. AJ had this idea: He and the gang snook behind Mrs. Roopy’s desk. Mrs. Roopy’s clothes were inside. AJ asked what the meaning of that was. More proof was that, Mrs. Roopy has a heart tattoo on her belly button. AJ lifted Mrs. Roopy’s shirt up a little when she dressed up like a professional dirt bike racer.
Emily Pucket, also known as Emily (born 1995) is a supporting character of the series.
Emily Pucket is a girl who goes to A.J.’s school. She is very timid and loves school, teachers, nice people, healthy food, and everything Andrea likes. A.J. and his friends often try to scare her. She is eight years old and in the second grade in the first series, and is nine years old and in the third grade throughout the second, third and fourth series.
Her best friend is Andrea Young, and whatever she is doing, Emily will want to do too. Her friends are AJ, Ryan Dole, Michael Robinson, Neil Crouch, and Alexia Juarez. Mr. Granite is her homeroom teacher, and she has blonde hair and blue eyes.
